Recently they wrote a ‘bimbo blog’ entry for their son, Josiah, trying to ‘learn’ from Malaysian’s blogger Kenny Sia’s on his attempt to create a bimbo blog!!

It is about fotos of super cute smile, nails, eyelashes and more cuteness.. LOL Oh surely, if such fotos are shared… i definitely wannnttt moooorrrrreeeee…… *WeeEEeeee* Who can resist such adorable looking baby like Josiah…  *wink*

Bimbo blog is a genre of blogging that’ll never go out of style. They’re characterised by the blogger (usually female) posting up half-an-Internet-full-of-bandwidth-sucking photos of themselves going about doing stuff like partying, going for manicures, shopping, partying, attending fashion shows, partying, doing their make-up, partying, meeting celebrities, going on a cruise, partying, partying, partying… zzzzzzz.

It’s tough job being a male blogger sometimes.

Some people write for themselves and some people write for an audience. Like most people, I do both and I reckon kennysia.com did a pretty good job so far balancing them.

I do have to admit though that I don’t always find writing for an audience easy at all. Most people tell me that they visit my blog for laughs. I acknowledge that. However ideas, inspiration and wit are not something that come 24/7. They go through a cyclical pattern, much like a woman’s menstrual cycle.

It’s so much easier being a female blogger.

Guys can only write so much humour, politics and technology before we run out of inspiration. For girls, they can write the same stuff if they wanted to, but they can also write a bimbo blog.

12 MRT stations for Bukit Timah by 2015

180,000 rides expected on the underground line

A DOZEN new MRT stations will come up in the Bukit Timah area as part of Stage 2 of the Downtown Line.

They will serve several schools such as Singapore Chinese Girls’ School, National Junior College, Hwa Chong Institution, Nanyang Girls’ High, Raffles Girls’ Primary, and Assumption English School.

This phase, to be completed by 2015, will give Bukit Timah residents access to trains for the first time. They are now served only by buses.

The stations will also serve the Toh Yi and Bukit Panjang Housing Board estates, and take commuters to shopping malls such as Serene Centre, Beauty World and Ten Mile Junction.

The Downtown Line is being built in three stages and will have 40 stations, with trains running from the north- western and eastern areas of Singapore to the Central Business District and Marina Bay.

Stage 2 will intersect other MRT lines at Little India, Newton and the Botanic Gardens.

Details of this phase were announced yesterday. This section spans 16.6km, from Rochor in the south to Bukit Panjang in the north.

Taking the train is expected to shave travelling time from Bukit Panjang to Marina Bay by almost half an hour.

I was looking at my foto album… checked that the wedding dinner of Eelynn and Simon was held on 27th December 2004 at Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. Nice food served…

Then soon after, both of them moved over to Hong Kong.. and soon after we heard good news that Eelynn was pregnant… *Wohooo* Esther went to HK for holiday in early Sept 2007 when Eelynn was about to give birth. She took a photo of them together… I remembered I was commenting that “Eelynn.. is so fat! haha ..maybe that is why she didn’t send us her latest fotos..hahaa … Opps…Later she will *bish* me.. =p”

And finally, we got to see Nigel face-to-face….coz they were coming to Sg for a visit.. *Wootz* Guess we were all very excited and looking-forward… We met at FRIENDS @ Serangoon Garden Village. And of course, when we met this adorable 8mth ‘god-son’ of ours… everyone’s camera kept on clicking!! hohooohoo

We bought toys for him … hopefully he will like it.. and he also performed amazing ‘tricks’ … which amused everyone… haha =p

After being kissed so much from the jiejie aunties (ok lar.. I kissed him the most.. =p Or maybe I am the only on who kept on kissing him…) , Eelynn said to Nigel, “Aihyoo, poor Nigel.. Later mama go home and wash ur face with dettol to kill the germs ya… if not.. later will have pimples!!”

Short catch up

Alicia is back in town.. and we met up for a short while.. We had early dinner at Ding Tai Fung, Paragon Centre. Not bad the foodie..  the dumplings… and we also tried yam dumpling for desserts.. Nice… *yummy*

And of course, later on, we went for shopping spree… and of coz, she ‘attacked’ those shoes shops… hahaa  Trully, shoes in Singapore are much more cheaper and have more variety in designs… Think she bought 3-4 shoes?? heheee

Jo in USA

Jo should be in USA by today….

Initially have planned to go to USA, San Francisco, in early Aug after my exams.. to attend the wedding of my cousin, Widodo, and his fiance, Fany. And later, with Jo, go to Grand Canyon, LA, Yosemite, Anaheim (Disneyland) and finally follow Jo to Oregon.. But have to abandon the plan when $$ is not enough…

Jo still go ahead with the plan.. road trip with her colleague (who will be going with her) and finally to Oregon to visit her friends/colleagues.. Hopefully she will be able to go for the hot air ballon, disneyland, Grand Canyon… Happy her!! =)

But….. juskawaime is still in Singapore …. *sobz*…. preparing for exams…. lagi *sobs* >.<”"

But well… anyway… i have suggested to her to bring a teddy bear.. and take photos of those places with the teddy bear… hahaa so it is as if I am the teddy bear… going for those places… accompanying her too… heheee

Ok this will do for now…

Durian Solo

Bugis have food fair… walked past the booths yesterday after my Japanese classes… Lots of yummy foodie…. too many temptation… (I am getting sick! sore throat!!) Eventually we decided to just indulge in this “Durian Solo” by Wan Hua Desserts Pte Ltd. As stated on the booth, it is handmade, suitable for vegetarian, no preservative, and to be consumed within 6hrs..

 

So what is Durian Solo?? (sounds like Bengawan Solo… =p ) Well Durian Solo is Fried Durian.. Costs S$2/piece. *GOSH* … Durian already very heaty (bu zua)!! Fried somemore… ‘lagi bu zua’ (more heaty!) Yes… we decided to give this Durian Solo = fried durian = double*heaty a try…. throat complaining already!!

Well concept is like papa beard.. with something flowing inside.. Supposedly cold inside and hot outside.. So I guess they freezed the durian first and then fried the durian…. but the product is not really as good as I expected. More can be improved…

 

I felt that the durian is not enough … not oozing out… Hahaa… more durian will be good…  A bigger piece will be better too… Plus the piece that we ate is not hot, fried stuffs if cold, it tastes like flour and tastes oily!! (ok fried stuff is oily.. but u know, when they are oozing hot, it tastes good.. pple intend to ‘dun care’ if it is oily…) haha I know .. this is excuses/crap! =p Oh welll…..  And coz it is not hot, so the contrast of hot outside and cold inside is not a lot..

 

Hope more improvements can be done..

Sometimes it is not difficult to get high visit to ur blog.. I realized… and from blog’s hits, you can observe what topic people are interested.. but of course, there are lots of other topics pple are interested.. and you dun write all topics.. But if you wrote a topic, you can check if people are keen on the same topic or are searching for the topics..

But I noticed that people are keen on topics like “Latest trendy haircut”, “Fann Wong”, “Koh Yah Hwee”, “Jackson Tan”, “Singapore public holiday 2009″…….. (some of the topics I wrote before)..  These are “all time favourites”….. Sometimes some search is periodical (at that moment) … like 青蛙王子拜金女.. etc
