O Lord, I love You, I really love You

30 05 2010

juskawaime is not a good christian.. but will hum this hymn occassionally =)

O Lord, I love You,
I really love You,
Without You life’s really nothing.
You are so attracting,
And You are so charming;
Your riches are unsearchable.
Your name’s so dear and sweet,
Calling makes one satisfied,
Now You are mine and I am Thine, Lord;
Joined and mingled with You,
God-man incorporation,
Foretaste of the New Jerusalem.

Splendid church life!

His green garden He has brought us, praise the Lord

To experience the Christ who’s growing here!

He is full of rich enjoyment to His saints in one accord;

He is new and fresh, available and dear.

Chorus:

I’m so happy in this lovely place

In the garden growing in His grace!

There is no finer pleasure than to eat the living tree

And to get the living water into me. (Hymn #1237)

More happy shots =)

Life is not fair!

24 05 2009

I really like this post from Jessica, so I am sharing here in my blog. This also acts as a reminder for me … if I do encounter anything unpleasant in future..

My kids are at the age where they are always saying “it’s not fair” when things don’t go their way. I always respond, “Life isn’t fair.”

Last week I found myself thinking “it’s not fair.” My 76-year-old father was diagnosed with a debilitating, degenerative disease for which there is no cure. It always ends in death, after a few years of suffering.
It just doesn’t seem fair.

He faithfully pastored churches for almost 50 years. During his life he has turned down some very lucrative alternatives in order to live in poverty serving other people. And now, after all those years of sacrifice and service, he gets this diagnosis.

No, it’s not fair.

And when I stopped to think about it, I realized that not much in life is fair. After all, was it “fair” that the perfect Son of God was tortured, beaten, and killed because of things I had done? Was it “fair” that He who had done no wrong suffered so much for those of us who more often than not take for granted His great sacrifice? Is it “fair” that we who have sinned get to go to Heaven based on something that someone else did for us?

I’m really glad life is not fair.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE, remember…. give thanks to God, for life is not fair!

Hang in there!

22 09 2008

Loving this story upon reading it from fren’s blog.. so sharing this… to remind me and everyone.. =)

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. Oh, that’s my trouble tree,” he replied. “I know I can’t help having troubles on the job, but one thing’s for sure, those troubles don’t belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.Funny thing is,” he smiled, “when I come out in the morning to pick ’em up, there aren’t nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before.”

Cast all of your care upon HIM, for he care for you!

The gift

9 07 2008

Extracted from a fren’s blog, love the story.. so shall with u all =)

A married lady was expecting a birthday gift from her husband. For many months she had admire a beautiful diamond ring in a showroom, and knowing her husband could afford it, she told him that was all she wanted.

As her birthday approached, this lady awaited signs that her husband had purchased the diamond ring.

Finally, on the morning of her birthday, her husband called her intohis studyroom. Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a good wife, and told her how much he loved her. He handed her a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, the wife opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the wife’s name embossed in gold.

Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, “With all your money you give me a Bible? and stormed out of the house, leaving her husband.

Many years passed and the married lady was very successful in business. She managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a wonderful family, but realized her ex-husband was very old, and thought perhaps she should go to visit him. She had not seen him for many years.

But before she could make arrangements, she received a telegram telling her that her ex-husband had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately and take care of things.

When she arrived at her ex-husband’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled her heart. She began to search through her ex-husband’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as she had left it years ago.

With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the pages.

May this story inspires you..

Her ex-husband had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

As she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of the Bible.

It had diamond ring with her name engraved on it, the same diamond ring which she saw at the showroom. On the tag was the date of her birth, and the words..

‘LUV U ALWAYS’…

How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this.

IF YOUR GIFT IS NOT PACKED THE WAY YOU WANT IT,

IT’S BECAUSE IT IS BETTER PACKED THAT WAY!
